It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... whoa! Didn't we just have our Labor Day picnic? It all runs together here in the Keweenaw, as the world around us is transformed to the next season. I really like these shots Jonathan is capturing with his Fuji S1. This is near the spot where Cliff drive passes over the Gratiot. Wish we had time to hike along the bank, but we better go make some wood before the REAL snow drops in.

Looks like the white gold is blanketing. What I wouldnt do to relax by a tree, watch the snow flakes fall and listen to the river and the sounds of nature in the U.P. Its a great photo and thank you so much for this web page. Born a troll wanna be a yupper ( lived up there for 6 yrs) guess that would make me a real trooper.

Charlie, Jon is certainly getting some fine shots. The Fuji S1 does a great job, or is the operator? We've gotten 2 or 3 inches here. It really does freshen things up. Enjoy.

Yeah! I finally found a winter picture to replace my fall birches as wallpaper. I still love the beautiful birch picture - the best this fall, I think - but it is a bit out of season as we have had snow here in the mountains of NE Oregon as well. Just little bits haingin on here and there at the moment, though.
