Very interesting sight. Searching for a specific bakery in the northern L.P. and came across your site. Been here for the last 2 hours. Very nice... And interesting.
Yah Mike, life's great up here in da U.P. We got lots of snow and more coming. Too bad about the lowper ting, eh! Have fun and don't miss da U.P. too much!
This is a message to let all those involved with the pasty cam know that it is really good to be able to view it on a daily basis. My computer crashed in November and I've only been able to access the site a handful of times in the last 2 in a half months. It's good to be back! Keep up the good work!
We finally got some snow. Here. Thanks for sending some on down!
Hi, I won the snow thermometer in your last contest and never received it. Was wondering if it has been shipped out yet?? Thanks for your time and consideration.
Hi! Back in the mid 60's I worked at Cleavland Cliffs Mather "B" and I could not think of Teal lake. Did you know that one of drifts in that mine go under that lake? Was always on my mind when we were working down there.
Teal Lake is the beautiful lake in Neguanee. Hi to Al,Karen,Robert,Rena,Sean and Kathy. Also to all my Homeboys in the Range. Happy New Year to the fine folks at PastyCam. You can take the boy out of the U.P. but you can't take the U.P. out of the boy! From Peactree City Ga.
Can anyone tell me if the Presque Isle Bog Walk and Nature Trail featured on Jan. 11th was established by Lon L. Emerick? I have a book written by him, and he developed an interpretive path describing habitat at Little Presque Isle north of Marquette. Are these one and the same?
I just got my pasties and they are great! A big Ya Hey Dere to the wonderful Still Waters chefs.

58" of snow in Da UP? And here in Milwaukee, the 4" we got melted over the weekend! Can you mail some snow down to us? My wife misses the ski routine.
to carol from clare happy 60th birthday and many more
Hi Probstfelds-Michael, Paula and gang, Have fun in the Copper Country in February. Hopefully you'll get some skiing in. Enjoy the snow because there is absolutely none here. Look at the pasty-e-mail from Anne Horsma-it's great to be able to share our comments about the beautiful Copper Country via this forum! Take Care, Jan Boden
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful pictures. My husband is from Hancock and now that we live in Mexico, he really misses going up north after Christmas to see the snow, we didn't get enough in Detroit for him. Hopefully we can make it up next winter for a week or so.
Hello from boring old Mokena, Illinois! I found your website just before New Year's Eve, and have spent countless hours on it since. I've been going to the U.P. for vacations for 30 years now, even spent my honeymoon in Copper Harbor and Isle Royale. Could you take a picture of the "Breezy Point Lodge", on Rt. 41 in Copper Harbor? And does anyone know why it has been vacant for so long?
I suspect that the author from Cornwall might have had some meat that was tainted with "Mad Cow Disease". We all know where that started, don't we?
The Red Wing player shown on Pasty-Cam is so cute. I have him on my wallpaper now. Who is the little gentleman?
I am from Cornwall......The true home of the Pasty. you Americans and other non-Cornish people have no idea of the true potential of the good old meat, vegetable and pastry combination until you try one from the good old Duchy of Cornwall. I am sure that you think you can make one. But you miss that special ingrediant. ....The cornish sea air. You can't beat it, t'is 'andsome you know! You have probably never tasted a real crust and you can not just walk down to the local butchers opr bakers and buy one, still, I suppose you have always got Mcdonalds!!!
I spent Christmas in Vancouver, WA with my daughter Sharon (Hiltunen) VanAusdeln (Ontonagon class of 1979) and for a surprise for me, (Sylvia Lehto Thacker, Ontonagon class of 1959) she ordered pasties. They were wonderful and made us feel like we were "home". Thanks to all of you at Still Waters and a very Happy and Blessed New Year. Love your web site, especially Pasty Cam.
Dearest Jan,

Just received my tote bag, got it filled with my usual stuff ready to go. Thanks Jan Medved.
I wanted to leave a message in the PastyCam calendar section, but didn't see how I could. How do I find out if my order for the photo calendars, tote bag and magnet went through? I thought I'd have received them by now. Is there any way to check to see if my order was received, and when it was sent out? Or who do I contact?
Hi Marla and gang! How was the fudge from the Calumet Mercantile? Let's get together for pasties soon! Bet you miss the Copper Country and Lake Superior! Have fun at Winter Carnival! Talk to you soon!
I would just like to say happy newyears to Pattie and Pudgie who live all the way at the other end of elm Love ya Linda in Calif.
I'm going to be in Hancock in the next couple of weeks, can I stop by Still Waters and pick up some Pastys? Who do I ask for?
I just wanted to say Hello to former Lake Linden resident Aunt Anne Probstfeld Horsma. Hope Uncle Joe and Aunt Jean Shimandle of Laurium are keeping warm. Happy New Year to the beautiful Copper Country! Can't wait to visit soon!
Happy New Year to all you that bring us this great
Is that MMMorisson (that's what's above the door!) school in Calumet? My dad went there back in the twenties and thirties!
Just a note to let you know that our gift pasties arrived in Florida on Wednesday! They left me a very pleased and excited phone message and were so happy to have a taste of the real UP again!
