This reminds me of prints of paintings that were popular in the early 1900's. This view was on the Greenland Road (M38). It is on the Wilbur Ranch, which is a place that provides many marvelous scenes, including huge flocks of geese and brilliant yellow acres of mustard and trefoil in the spring.

Memories of warmer days

We can always count on Dan to capture the many faces of the U.P. By the way, if you haven't been to Dan's Quietly Wild website this fall, check out his latest Wilderness Diary entry of the lovely Presque Isle Gorge. Today our family happens to be traveling through Gogebic County, on the way to Duluth for another hockey game with the Michigan Tech women's team.

This weekend we also hope to post ordering information for the new Pasty Cam 2002 Calendar. We've had many requests, and appreciate all who took the time to vote on the pictures this year. I'm confident you will be pleased with the results!

Quietly Wild will soon feature a whole page of
Northern Light photos, fron our recent
displays. Look for then in the "Recent Photos"
section.

I finally had some success photographing
Gleason Creek Falls and canyon, a litttle
known spot near Norwich Bluff in Ontonagon
County. It will be featured in the "Wilderness
Diary"

I appreciate all my QW visitors. It's beautiful
here, and surprises are everywhere. I'm
tickled to share them with the world!
