Our daughter and son-in-law, who live in Houghton, told us to look at Pasty Central. How great your photography is, as we sit here in Mallorca, a small island in the Mediterannean, belonging to Spain. We actually are English, and we moved to this beautiful island nearly 10 years ago. We have taken the liberty of downloading one of your photos as our wallpaper. Also, here's a photo of our island. Love to see some more snowy photos, as our memory of snow is somewhat dim ! We wish Pasty.Com all prosperity for the future. God bless you all Ivor & Rosemary Dugdale-Jenkins

2 beautiful shots. The Up North photo looks like it was "painted" in some way(at least through my browser). To Ivor and Rosemary: Thanks for your photo from Mallorca. Two questions: Didn't Robert Graves live(and die) on Mallorca? What kind of tree is that leaning on the lamppost there? Thanks!

My neighbor has one just like it. We call them fan palms here in San Jose.

Here's a tree looking into Bete Gris which fits with this Cam shot. This tree used to be straight, and as I grew older... I watched it lean more and more every year towards that lake. Now some 40 years later, it's just about leaned as much as it's going to!

I think that Robert Graves lived in Valdemossa in Mallorca - a beautiful place high in the hills, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist centres. (the daughter that lives in Houghton!)
