We welcome a new contributor today, Jennifer Ellis-Jervis, who was recently in Eagle Harbor and snapped a few photos of the Lighthouse surrounded by white. If it weren't for the color of the brick on the Lighthouse, Jennifer's first two photos could have passed for black and white, due to the snow covering almost everything in sight. No matter what season it is, for some reason, when the camera comes out for a photo of this Lighthouse, the result is always pleasing to the eye. In my opinion, this is one of the more photogenic of the Keweenaw Lighthouses. Thanks for sharing your shots with us, Jennifer!

50 degrees in Lansing at lunch time. May have inched up a bit more as the afternoon progressed, don't have an external thermometer at the office to check.

Love this lighthouse! My oldest son and I visited it last March. It was cooooold and windy and we had a blast! Thanks Jennifer for sharing, great pics!

This will probably always be my favorite lighthouse!! Love these pictures. I have to put a plug in for Splitrock lighthouse out here in MN, though. Just north of Duluth, it's a completely awesome lighthouse! It's definitely worth the drive for people who are leaving MI and heading this way! However, I still favor the Eagle Harbor light.

Shirley, you've mentioned several times about your painting. So have you an example or two of your art work? As an amateur artist myself I'd love to see some. All I have to share are on my profile (I think). Don't you just go nuts seeing all the wonderful subjects? Like the lighthouse at Eagle Harbor etc !?

Yeah, Kay, unfortunately they're hanging all over my house.;) Have sold a few, some commissioned and some just because someone saw one and wanted it, but mostly I've just given them away. And yes, I do have the urge to paint again, especially seeing all the pretty photos on pasty. But 'Arthur-Itis' put a stop to that.:)
