Good morning! This day started out pretty neat looking out the window. In our hay field behind our house 150 ft. or so, I saw a new mother doe with her very wobbly fawn. If I would have peeked out the window maybe a half an hour earlier, I might have witnessed the birth. May the day be good to you!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! We're so happy to be here and incredibly appreciative of the work Daryl Laitila has done to create our site. Monty is our cat's name, all right! Actually, because of his initial feistiness, I thought of Montag, the main character in Ray Bradbury's 'Farenheit 451' which my students read. Somehow, it just fit his personality. Since he's aged and mellowed (hmmm...sounds like me), Monty works best. Charlie, thanks for your introduction!
