By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Saturday, May 24, 2008 - 07:48 am: The snow is all but melted, except for a spot here and there where the sun doesn't reach or it was piled high by the plows. The temperatures are starting to warm up a bit (finally!). The flowers are bursting open with color... surely it must be springtime here in the Keweenaw now? These bright, yellow daffodils in the top photo seem to be smiling down at us, telling us that it definitely is. They are either a giant variety or Roger Kangas must have been lying on the ground to capture this shot. Beautiful in a bunch or singly as Ashley Byykkonen found the one in the second photo, they can also be classified as a Narcissus and are said to be the flower symbolizing friendship. They sure make me smile! By Donna (Donna) on Saturday, May 24, 2008 - 08:01 am: By DEAN SCHWARTZ SR. (Lulu) on Saturday, May 24, 2008 - 08:05 am: AH YES SPRING IN THE KEWEENAW . WISH I WAS THERE. MY COUSIN IS HAVEING HIS GRADUATION PARTY TODAY. GO BRIAN ADAMS (#12 OF THE COPPER KING'S HOCKEY TEAM) AND GOD BLESS ALL THE 2008 GRADUATES. LET US NOT FORGET WHAT THIS WEEKEND MEANS. LET US KEEP IN OUR PRAYERS,ALL THE VETERANS PAST, PRESENT AND THOSE IN THE FUTURE SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY. "ONE NATION UNDER GOD". By Margaret, Amarillo TX (Margaret) on Saturday, May 24, 2008 - 08:43 am: Many blessings on those who returned from conflicts and resumed their lives. Grateful thanks to those who didn't.
