The SDC includes the MacInnes Student Ice Arena, home of the hockey Huskies, and the varsity gym, where the basketball and volleyball teams play. You can hear Tech hockey and basketball streamed this winter on Pasty.NET. By Uncle Chuck @ Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 06:43 am: By Deb S. By Gonna be a Yooper (Joanie) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 08:20 am: What a stroke of luck, Uncle Chuck, congrats on the "Early Bird"! By Paul A Rose (Whitewaves) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 08:54 am: The sky over Bay DE Noc this Morning! .....so how long will the sun last? off to get another coffee. By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 10:02 am: Sad news -- I had to put one of my kitties to sleep yesterday. :o( She had a stroke on Christmas Eve. Her name was Baby and I had her since the spring of 1990. She was spoiled rotten, but I will miss her just the same. By Gonna be a Yooper (Joanie) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 10:17 am: I'm so sorry Cindy. It's very sad when you lose a pet. It's even sadder when you have to be the one that decides between life and death. By Ms. Katie (Mskatie) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 03:58 pm: Oh my. I've been having horrible problems with my computer and couldn't even read the Pasty site let alone any emails. It's like being on the desert all alone with no connection to the rest of the world. Like we learn when one part of our body is out of commission and we can't use it! Without Pasty it's a sad, lonely world out there for me! Merry Christmas season everyone! By Danielle Adams (Badkid) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 04:18 pm: oh wow, and to think the sdc is just 2 miles down the road from me here. i will be seeing a lot of that in the coming weeks as i go to portage rehab in the sdc. truly the sdc is a great place. my most recent trip there was to watch the girls high school basketball tournament action, and of course i had to go show support for my hs (jeffers) even though i am a finlandia lion now lol i wonder how the sdc looks now with the very little snow we have and how the sun was out today, woulda made a great pic. (Usedtobeayooper) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 05:28 pm: By Danielle Adams (Badkid) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 06:10 pm: congrats joanie! hehe don't blame you on the babysitting part...2 could be double trouble lol By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 06:22 pm:
Cindy, I'm sorry for you about your cat. When we decided to put our cat to sleep a couple of years ago, it was one of the hardest things we ever did. I cried for days. She was 13 or 14 years old. I hope you feel better about it soon. By JH (Thumbgardener) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 06:46 pm:
Joanie, congratulations! Boy that's quite a word that Gonnabeayooperandagramma. I just copied and pasted. Too much work to try and type all that and get it right :) By Greta Armata (Gretania) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 07:32 pm: Cindy - it's never easy to put down an animal. I've always had cats that were "pre-owned" - so I had the pleasurable assignment of taking care of them in their later years an putting them down. My Siameses lived the longest - Cooper was about 23, Cecelia was 15; then Fluffy, a long-hair, was only 10 but I did mouth-to-nose and CPR after she had a sudden heart attack, to no avail; Bailey was half-Siamese/half-tiger striped and lived to be 11; the last one I put down was 2 years ago the day before Christmas - a 14 year old Siamese named Baby, who came to live with me when she was already 11. Now I have 2 litter mate sisters that have never been separated - even when getting spayed. Foo-foo and Too-too just turned 12, and I've had them since they were 3. I imagine that when one goes, the other won't be far behind. I still miss Cooper and he's been gone since 1988. By David Hiltunen (Davidcorrytontn) on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 - 10:40 pm: Gerald R. Ford our Nation's 38 th.President is gone but not forgoten. By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Thursday, December 28, 2006 - 08:02 am: Thank you all for your kind words about my sweet kitty. I am feeling much better knowing that she is not suffering anymore. It is sure different without her around. >^..^< |
