By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 07:01 am: If it wasn't for the patches of white snow around these shoreline rocks, you'd swear this was a springtime shot. That's the Marquette Harbor light off in the distance, snapped by Katie Keranen and showing some snow visible along the breakwall. Lake Superior looks quite calm and tranquil in the photo, almost inviting enough to make you want to jump in. But with snow here and there around the Big Lake, I wouldn't suggest doing so! By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 07:09 am: By Therese (Therese) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 07:21 am: Lovely for September, not so lovely for December. Where did the snow go? We have hardly any left here just below the Bridge. By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 09:19 am: What a peaceful picture. The blues are so calming. Wish I was there, with a warm coat. By Danbury (Danbury) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 10:29 am:
With those temps, even the warm coat might not be necessary. By David Hiltunen (Davidcorrytontn) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 10:30 am: Algore will be comming to Pelke Tech to speak on Global Warming if it don't snow soon. By Gonna be a Yooper (Joanie) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 11:24 am: We're all dreaming of a "White Christmas", if we don't get snow I guess I'll have to go, up to the cold North Pole! Desperately need the recipe on how to make "man made snow"! Might have to take the air-conditioner covers off, 50 degrees tomorrow. (Sorry, I am not, and I repeat not, going through that degree thing again!) By Happy to be in the U.P. (Lahelo) on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 - 05:58 pm: Therese (Therese) We have hardly any snow here above the bridge either! Hei Joanie, the number pad lock is on, the 'alt' button is held down and you press these # keys: 0176 and when you release that 'alt' button you get °. Simple, 'eh? Try it, you'll like it! ° ° ° :>) (The calculator key pad, not the numbers row above qwertyuiop.) |
