This shot of Lake Fanny Hooe appeared on the Pasty Cam September 5, 1998. Today that photo would have just a little bit of color, as the trees begin their annual march toward the color show, which usually peaks in early October. By anita king (Anita5) on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 - 07:18 am:

have a look at this link: By kathie Murto (Murtomania) on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 - 12:08 pm: What a great weekend in copper country. I got to stay at a friends 100 year old farm for the weekend. When I woke up Saturday morning, I could have sworn there was someone walking in the woods- to my amazement it was the dew falling from the trees. I have never been in a place so quiet and peaceful that I could hear the dew fall from trees!! The weather was beautiful. I packed all cold weather clothing thinking it was going to be a bit brisk, but ended up wearing shorts and t-shirt. LIFE IS GREAT IN COPPER COUNTRY!! By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 - 01:03 pm: I have to agree with murtomania: weather is beautiful always in the copper country. Many wouldn't appreciate some of it, and I can totally understand how those who live there can get tired of some of it, but it is always unbelievably lovely to my southern MI mind! In response to: By Kathy Jennings (Kathyj) on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 - 05:31 pm: Channel 5 WBKP seems to be off the air. (?) I used to a ger an over-air signal but have been unable to get a picture for several days. Has there been a change made? Or is my TV broken? Anyone know??? By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 - 11:42 pm: Kosk, I agree...it would be great for a bunch of us Pasty Cammers to get together and do the Labor Day walk across the Mighty Mac ;) I was chatting with Cotton yesterday about wanting to get together next year and do the Labor Day walk...and she said there was no way we would get her to walk across the bridge. Told her that was okay, we would allow her to crawl across the mid-span :) By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 - 05:56 am:
Sur5er-- By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 - 07:19 am: When we were kids we used to cross the trestles that ran between Lake Linden and Calumet. Oh my goodness, they were so high when you were kids and the spaces between the 6 x 6's (or whatever size they were) were wide. We were nuts!! Now, like Kosk, I can't climb past the 2nd rung of a ladder. Not sure about that Labor Day walk but have always wanted to do it. Per chance somebody could carry me? LOL By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 - 03:18 pm: Only the middle two lanes of the bridge at mid-span are grated (the left south bound lane and the left north bound lane), Deb...so we'll just make sure to walk on the paved side, over the mid-span. Now do you feel a little less queezy? Kosk said she did it with no problem :) By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 - 04:14 pm: If I could do those trestles, I think I can handle this without a problem. It's the darn 5 mile walk that concerns me. I'm old!!!
