Eight years ago, the Pasty Cam featured Pastor Charles Hart of Calumet (center), who received an honorary doctorate from Northland Bible College. Another hometown boy, Dr. Les Olila (left), made the presentation as president of the school. Les grew up near Mohawk.

Today marks the last day for bidding in the Still Waters silent auction. All of the items were donated, so 100 percent of the sales price will help Still Waters. Online bidding closes at 6 pm today. Bidding continues tomorrow, 12:30-3, at the Still Waters open house. Stop by if you are in the area.

For the last couple of weeks Sharon Smith has given up taking in the bird feeders at night. Guess the birds put up two much of a fuss wanting to be fed before Sharon's wake-up time of 11:00 am.:)

Have been working the midnight shift and listening to the news...pretty scary stuff. Those guys that were arrested in Michigan for buying all the cell phones are thought to have had the Mackinac Bridge as a target! Any one else hearing this?

While Jim was on the road this week, he heard on one of the radio stations, something similar to what you had heard about the terrorists out of Michigan. Only, in the version he had heard, they had targeted Walmart stores.
